“The Data Literacy Fundamentals course will teach participants to understand, work with, and communicate data in a meaningful way.


This 2-day Data Literacy Fundamentals course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the basics of data literacy, which is a set of knowledge and skills that enables individuals to understand, work with, and communicate data in a meaningful way. The course will cover various aspects of data literacy, from data collection and management to data analysis and visualization, and will also cover data-driven decision making, ethics, and privacy.

Throughout the course, participants will gain a deep understanding of data literacy and its importance in today’s business world, and will learn to understand data concepts and terminology. They will learn about data collection and management, including how to collect and store data, and how to clean and prepare data for analysis. They will also learn about data warehousing and data lakes, and will become proficient in using these tools to store and manage large amounts of data.

Participants will also learn about data analysis and visualization, including basic data analysis techniques and common tools such as Excel and Tableau. Successfully passing (65%) the 60-minute examination, consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions, leads to the Data Literacy Fundamentals certificate. The examination and certification process is administered by APMG-International on behalf of the Enterprise Big Data Framework Alliance
