Bonn, Germany, 13 June 2023 – The Big Data Awards 2023, winners to the highly anticipated event celebrating excellence and innovation in the field of big data analytics, were announced during the closing ceremony of Big Data Days 2023. This year’s awards recognized exceptional projects, practitioners, and students who have made significant contributions to the industry. After a rigorous evaluation process by a distinguished panel of judges, the winners in various categories have been unveiled, showcasing outstanding achievements in the world of big data.

The judges were pleased to announce that winner of the “Project of The Year” award is eClerx-Digital (India). The judges were particularly impressed by the remarkable project undertaken by eClerx-Digital, which effectively addressed the complex challenges of supply chain management. The project showcased advanced machine-learning techniques that outperformed other competing projects. The judges’ report praised eClerx-Digital, stating:
“Supply chain management is a highly complex challenge to address. The advanced machine learning techniques employed in this project clearly surpassed those of other submissions. The project demonstrated an exceptional commitment to machine learning, with well-defined key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals. It is deeply rooted in supply chain management and has a local impact with a global footprint.”
The “Practitioner of The Year” award was presented to Dr. Abdulrhman Alajmi (Saudi Arabia). The judges recognized Dr. Alajmi as a rising national star with tremendous potential for growth. They commended him as an embodiment of KSA’s Vision 2030 aspirations, reflecting his dedication and relentless efforts. Dr. Alajmi’s creation of the Saudi National Data Management Office was acknowledged as a significant accomplishment, making him a highly deserving recipient of this prestigious award.

Last but not least, Mr. Fu Cheng Min from Taiwan has been honored with the “Student of the Year” award. Mr. Fu Cheng Min’s exceptional dedication and outstanding performance in achieving Enterprise Big Data Framework certifications set him apart from other students. This award recognizes his remarkable achievement, having achieved the highest marks across the available Big Data courses throughout the calendar year.
