Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Enterprise Big Data Framework Alliance and Sunway University, Malaysia.

Bonn, Germany, May 10, 2023 – The Enterprise Big Data Framework Alliance (EBDFA) and Sunway University, Malaysia have announced a new cooperation agreement to strengthen the academic collaboration in the field of big data.

The MOU signed on the 20th of April provides a mechanism for collaboration between the parties in the development of producing industry-ready talents to the digital workforce through education and practical opportunities for students from Sunway University School of Engineering and Technology.

As one of Malaysia’s leading and internationally recognized private universities, Sunway University is positioned amongst the top universities in the world by QS World University Rankings. Sunway University is ranked #601-650 in the QS World University Rankings 2023 and is the #1 non-government-linked university private university in Malaysia in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.

As part of the MOU, the Enterprise Big Data Framework will collaborate with Sunway University to fast-track their Big Data and Data Science curricula by providing access to the course materials that have been developed as part of the Enterprise Big Data Framework Certification Scheme accredited by APMG International the global accreditation and certification body.

The Big Data Framework Alliance is an independent body for the development and advancement of Big Data best practices. The Big Data Framework® was developed by the Big Data Framework Alliance to provide a uniform, industry-leading and vendor-neutral standard for big data proficiency in enterprise organizations.

The MOU will also include cross-collaborations between EBDFA and Sunway University in practical opportunities for its students, which will enhance the quality of education for the students and add value to the course curriculum.
